Bored Stiff

Due to a fractured foot, I get a couple of days off from work. Do I want to rest? NO! But what can I do about it? Nothing! So, I was told to get over it. The good news, actually the great news, is that my novel is nearing it's completion, no bullshit this time. I will have a rough draft ready for edit in a couple of days!
I have come to firmly believe that things happens or happened for a reason. The reason may not yet be understood but eventually I will be like, "Ooooh... that happened because..." and then I will thank God that it happened. Most pessimists will always look for the negative in the situation and totally miss the blessing that was taking place. I'll remain positive for the time being and hope not to be bored stiff again.

"Reminiscences of Dysfunction." Here's they synopsis:

Reminiscences of Dysfunctions is the story of a family torn apart by a mother’s inability to love.

Aadi Walker disappeared shortly after the death of her only child. It became overwhelming to face the fact that her mother was responsible for David’s death. David a bubbly five years old child would still be alive if her mother had not neglected him. Yet, she claims no responsibility for the tragic accident. Aadi knew better due to years of neglect and abandonment by her mother. She struggles to forgive, but it becomes harder as she journeys through a past of pain and hurt inflicted by a heartless woman.

Aadi thought she escaped the life she once knew but that chapter of her life has not concluded yet. There were pressing issues that forced her out of hibernation and on a flight heading back to Philadelphia. Her father was diagnosed with cancer and was well into hospice care and her baby sister was making the biggest mistake of her life by marrying a scum introduced by her mother. The only two people that she has left in the world and whom she cares deeply for needed her. She has to face the reality and put to rest once and for all the past that haunts her. Greedy hands were trying to dip into her father's estate and when money talks, so does everything else, especially the skeletons in the closet.
